WORK WITH ROSE

Rose trained at London Studio Centre and performed professionally for over a decade before embarking on her journey into the world of education.  With over 20 years of teaching and learning experience, Rose has taught and inspired countless pupils and participants across different age groups, abilities, and contexts.  

As a PGCE graduate of the prestigious Royal Academy of Dance, Rose has continued to develop and enhance her effectiveness as a teacher, facilitator, mentor, and tutor.  She was fast-tracked to complete her NQT year in two terms and also qualified as an accredited SSAT Lead Practitioner. Through her unwavering passion and belief in the transformative power of dance and movement, she has witnessed the magical impact of dance education.  More than just performance, Dance is a language of expression, a tool for critical thinking, a pathway to personal, social and cultural understanding, and a lifelong gift to wellbeing.

• 2023- GCSE Dance results: 100% of pupils passed Grades 6-9, 83% of pupils passed Grades 7-9, and 66% of pupils passed Grades 8-9. All pupils had no prior dance experience.
• In 2019, GCSE Dance was introduced into the curriculum at a leading independent school for boys, Years 7-11.
• TEEP (Teacher Effectiveness Enhancement Programme) Levels 1&2 and progressed onto Level 3.
• Team leader for a ‘Teaching and Learning Community’ as part of Dylan Wiliam’s two-year Embedding Formative Assessment project.  To coach colleagues across the department to promote effective application of assessment for learning in teaching and learning. 
• 2017- GCSE Dance results: 100% of pupils passed with A*-C, and 100% achieved 3+ levels of progress.
• 2015 - GCSE Dance results: 94.7% of pupils passed with A*-C, and 100% achieved 3+ levels of progress. 
• 2014 -  GCSE Dance results: 93.3% of pupils passed with A*-C.  The top-achieving students were awarded 1x A* and 8xB grades.  Rose led on Unit 2 Set Study in the old specification, which was identified through subject analysis as the most improved unit; 100% pupils achieved A*-B, and  20% achieved an A*.
